Teaching Data Skills at City Hall and in Communities

Have you ever heard, "We love the data but we don't have the skills to put it to use"? You're not alone. This lack of know-how is driving many civic data leaders to prioritize increased data literacy as the key to open government's success. Two cities, in particular, are leading this movement. Hear from Kansas City CDO Eric Roche about their Data Academy for staff. And, Robyn Mace, CDO of Nashville, will describe her work to bring together citizen super-users, university professors, and other groups to increase data literacy both in and outside of government.
