Data Services Manager, Montgomery County, MD
Victoria Lewis joined Montgomery County, MD in 2005 and is responsible for the dataMontgomery (@dataMontgomery) open data program. Ms. Lewis has over 18 years of experience in Information Technology project management, including project leadership in both the private and public sectors. She oversees the execution and operation of a multi-year, countywide Open Data Implementation Plan. Her goal is to publish relevant data in a straightforward manner, enabling residents of all skill levels to use open data as useful information to help their communities thrive. She is an active member of the Police Data Initiative, a cheerleader for Montgomery County’s award-winning performance management program, CountyStat, and was the government development partner for the financial data standards and Socrata guided Open Budget and Open Expenditure apps. Ms. Lewis holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, maintains her PMP certification and continues the enjoyable quest for the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe.
